Rose Hair tarantula for trade
Hi,
I am posting my sub-adult female Rose-hair tarantula here in the classifieds because I am looking to trade her and her habitat for a either a different species of tarantula or possibly a lizard. I have had her for about two weeks. She is pretty calm and acts tame, but is awesomely vicious when a cricket is introduced. My favorite part of course. She can be handled and has been in the past, but I wouldn't do it without wearing gloves and a long-sleeve shirt because like any tarantula, she'll make you a little itchy. She undoubtedly has many healthy years ahead of her, being that she is a female and not yet an adult. Female rose-hairs can live up to 20 years. This would be the advantage to acquiring this Rose Hair rather than buying one at the pet store. You'll already know it's a female.
I already have two other Rose-hairs, so I don't have a problem parting with her. I happen to have a male-female pair that I hope to breed when the time is right.
I'm not interested in obtaining any kind of "re-homing fee", but if you have any of the following, I may be interested in swapping pets with you:
- Tarantulas, other than Rose-hairs, of course
- Scorpions
- Leopard geckos
- Crested geckos
- Uromastyx
- Bearded dragons
- Monitors
- just about any other lizard
As far as my Rosie goes, she will come with a Large Kritter Keeper with a green lid. It's all setup on the inside with eco-earth substrate, forest moss, and her water dish. If you aren't too familiar with tarantulas, but would like to learn more, I strongly recommend visiting either of these two great resources:
www.arachnophiles.com
www.arachnoboards.com
Also, I make regular trips down to Nashville and would not have a problem meeting somewhere to complete a trade. I also plan on attending the next LRE on 3/21 and if someone is interested, I can bring her with me if you'd like to check her out. If you have more questions, please contact me via PM.
Thanks.
