some people shouldnt own pets

i wish people would realize the care they need to give there snakes well really any pet you cant just put them in a tank without proper heat or anything it just really ticks me off.i am no specialist by know means and dont claim to be but i do love,handle and care for my pets daily!4 bp-1iguana-1 green cheek conure-2 dogs and i love them all! thanks for letting me vent, so what does everybody else think?

I agree with you 100%. I believe a part of the problem is due to lack of education of the care and requirements of the animal in question. Many people buy animals on impulse buys, that is fine if your knowledgeable of said animal. For most this is their first time having this type of animal as a pet. What may seem small and cute right now can become a very large pet. Space people have for a pet needs to play a factor as well as knowing buying the pet is the easiest part. Housing and caring your pet can become very expensive.

Another factor in some cases of improper care of animals the owner just plain and simple don't care.

These factors happen in all hobbies involving animals as well as just having companion animals. All we can do is do our part in taken good care of our own, pass on the education factor when selling and/or giving an animal away. All animals sold/given away should come with a care sheet no matter what knowledge the new owner of said animal has. For the beginner it could be a great start in the right direction and for the experience pet owner it could be used as a refresher course.

i agree with you,i got a ball 4 weeks ago a guy was giving away sick when i got him took him to my vet as i thought and people here told me he had a R I .had to give him shots every 3 days and he passed away the other day my vet said he looked like he had bein housed in a cold cage before i got him ,as i said before i'm no expert but i do care for all my animals and hait seeing them suffer any at all.and you are rite about a care sheet cause some people just dont realize the cost and commitment some animals require,they think it would be "a cool pet" i was upset and just needed to vent some i guess . thanks joe
